Michael B. Seger

Michael B. Seger

Michael was selected for a commissioning program to attend the University of Oklahoma majoring in Mechanical Engineering. He graduated as Distinguished Marine and Commandant’s award winner. After retiring from the United States Marine Corps, Michael completed a Masters Degree from the University of Texas at Dallas. He was awarded a fellowship from a National Science Foundation grant to study residual stress in materials and associated effects on distortion of manufactured parts in pursuit of Ph.D working for Dr. Malik as a research assistant. Ritin Mathews

Ritin Mathews

Following his Ph.D. graduation in summer of 2022, Ritin went on to join Oak Ridge National Laboratory as a Post-doctoral Research Associate. His current research entails improving conventional machining operations as well as emerging technologies (additive-subtractive hybrid manufacturing), which closely follows his Ph.D. dissertation on the same. Sepehr received his M.S. and B.S. degrees from Florida Institute of Technology (Mechanical Engineering, 2015) and Iran University of Science and Technology (Automotive Engineering, 2012). With his experience and interest in Laser Material Processing, in 2016, he joined the Mechanical Engineering Ph.D. program at The University of Texas at Dallas, where he conducts Laser Impact research in the Manufacturing and Design Innovation discipline under the supervision of Dr. Arif S. Sumair received his PhD. degree in May 2021 after defending a dissertation that highlighted the importance of residual stress and microstructure consideration when post-processing additive manufactured metals parts. Mohammad earned his PhD. in the spring of 2019 and is now working as a Software, Design and Research Engineer at Adaptive3D Technologies, LLC. Mohammad earned his Bachelors Degree in mechanical engineering in 2010 from The Hashemite University in Jordan. He went on to earn his Masters Degree in mechanical engineering from Jordan University of Science and Technology. From 2012 to 2014, he served as a reliability and maintenance mechanical engineer in Jordan Petroleum Refinery Company.
