Community Outreach
Akash is one of the coordinators for the annual Engineering Brighter Futures for Autism event, an endeavor of Dr. Malik that brings awareness to the general public of how capable non-neurotypical persons can be. Akash is an active blood donor. From 2005 to 2008 he used to head AIDS awareness and energy conservation camps organized annually by IOCL, India. During his years working toward his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees, he contributed towards STEM tutoring and awareness for underprivileged children.
Interests and Hobbies
Akash likes to spend his free time e-gaming. He likes to hike and camp whenever he gets a chance, and is a huge cricket fan.
